Get involved

There's a whole section of this Web site dedicated to getting folks involved in the Teton Area 10x10 initiative (see left hand column navigation). There you'll find 10 steps to 10x10 as well as an honest to goodness pledge. Toward the bottom of the pledge are the following words:
I agree that personal commitments to reducing energy use and trash generation are essential to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Therefore, I pledge to systematically reduce my family’s overall energy use 10 percent by 2010 ...
As we launch the Teton Area 10x10 initiative, our emphasis will be on getting folks to commit to the idea that personal commitments really are key, and that a pledge to reduce energy use by 10% by 2010 is a meaningful and worthwhile first step to take.
Sometime this summer we'll be adding a toolbox to this Web site that will allow folks to track their progress toward the personal commitment(s) they make. In the meantime, we're encouraging everyone to take the first step: commit to reduce your household’s energy use by 10% by December 31, 2010.
Over the next couple of months, we'll be keeping track of the number of individuals and businesses that take this first step, and will keep a running tally for all to see. We'll also keep folks updated on the progress of our toolbox development and offer tips on how to begin to collect the data you'll need to fully take advantage of the toolbox when it is ready to go.
Don't delay, commit today.
